Subject: Didn't think it needed a "SPOILER" thumbnail, since you can't really tell what it is...unless you know what happens already.
But for those who DO know, WAAAAAH! The Marauders are reunited again!! I'm actually pretty happy, but in a bittersweet way because they're all dead and their lives were so tragic! It's so depressing to think that they were once so happy at Hogwarts ;_;
I, for one, am relieved Remus died (and also that he reunited again with his friends when Harry summoned them) since...I personally think he'd choose his friends over Tonks (7+ years of devoted friendship vs. 2 years of angsty relationship?)
So, I'll try to spare you the "ZOMGILOVETHEMARAUDERS" rant because I think my gallery makes that fairly clear. But really, they're amazing.

Found that tagline from an icon meitachi had, which she got from seraphic angel. Due to my lack of good fonts, the text was added to the pic by hissori.
Also, the Marauders OBVIOUSLY belong to JKR and not me, because I (in addition to many things) would have redeemed Peter, spared the world from a Remus angst session, and given Sirius a cooler death than falling through a curtain.
Random: You can download a slightly bigger version of this, if you care, but it's not that much bigger. And the mistakes will be more visible.
This picture is amazing. It is one of my absolute favorites from any category, but Harry Potter in particular. It's so wonderful and happy, yet heartbreaking.
I think they went well together, Remus was so determined never to have a relationship with anyone, he needed a woman with a strong personality to get him to stop that ridiculous attitude. She wasn't afraid to break the rules and as an auror, could look after herself.
Plus.....the Maurders friendship wasn't really that strong. Aside from the obvious Wormtail, Sirius spent at least a year or two thinking Remus had turned to the dark side. That suggest some serious flaws if Sirius could really think that, after seven years of being Remus's friend, that he could believe he'd turn so easily. Also, Sirius and James kind of seemed to take advantage of Remus a lot, deliberately bullying other students in front of Remus who was meant to be a perfect but knowing Remus would never do anything about it.
Because Remus was so scared of being found out, they unconsciously took advantage of the fact he'd never really stand up to them, even when Sirius used him as a weapon against Snape. Barely a few months later after almost killing Snape, Remus just stood by and watched as he was tortured. So, while I do love the Marauders I think there were some serious flaws in their friendship, partly because James and Sirius were rather spoiled and selfish so took too many people for granted.
So to me, it wasn't really seven years of devoted friendship, more like four with three of a crumbling freindship that none of them recognised until it was too late. Also, Tonks did have a good year with Remus before he rejected her and once he was back with her, everything seems to have gone well. We don't have the whole story but he seemed so overjoyed at the birth of his son that it sounds pretty good.
PS. Why couldn't remus be reunited with his friends......and wife? Seriously, wouldn't Sirius also want to see his cousin as well as James meeting the woman who finally won Remus over?
